Discussion: Password locking the region

Would you like to password encode the region to ensure we only have active members?

if you have any pros or cons to add please post them and i will add them

PROS:
-Security from raiders
-Only nations that wish to be a part of OWU will be
-More complex scenarios - nations more established
-Only active nations

CONS:
Nations wont be able to come to us to see what we are like before deciding (not that many do)

Raiding is irrelevant if we have a founder

Pro:
Since the nations in OWU should become (somewhat) stable, this gives chance to more complex events in RP. i.e.: at this moment complete wars can be fought in 1 or two evenings, whereas with more stable players, you can set out plots that take longer to evolve, which, imho, can surely intensify gameplay.

Then again, my pro can be someone else's con

Active players are generally stable, people joining then leaving tends to not cause many problems

OWU is for active NSer's only.

We might also consider putting new members on a trial basis, say a week perhaps, before they are put on the map. Thus we could find out how active they are.

Espirius and Inis Arglidd may not be very active, but they are some of our first members. Both were pretty active once, both had a term as WA-delegate and for both the chances are high, that they get more active once again. How would you feel if you go on vacation and when returning you're suddenly in the Rejected Realms? Also both are actually part of the history of my nation (I've written it down). Those two can't be banned.

About Venasta and Kretschmar I'm not sure.

Switzerstein and Tavastistan haven't contributed anything to our community. In theory we could ban them, but I guess that would be rude. And as far as I know, Peterdan has left the region? Or did he rejoin when I was gone?

Sander has a similar status as E and IA in my eyes, although his nation is actually the same as them.^

No,I never understood why but Peterdan left but East peterdan remains here...

I'm not saying: Kick these out. I'm saying these are currently inactive T-L.

I'd say: give them a heads up. Ask whether they plan on returning, or whether it's OK to prune their account. That way it's more their own decision
